The Everyday Project Day 313

As I was at the stoplight at Mira Mesa Blvd and Black Mountain Road, where the hobos pan handle, I saw an interesting sign.
Follow Me at PopularHobo.blogspot.com.
A hobo blog????
Me: Colin! There's a sign for a hobo blog!
Colin: A hobo blog? Hobos can't have blogs. They don't have computers. Hobos can't blog. Give me your phone.

Sure enough the hobo has a blog! http://popularhobo.blogspot.com/?m=1 Here's his intro:

From Mira Mesa,Ca.,Popular Hobo News & Entertainment is a candid multimedia exploitation of the local hobos with news reports, stories, editorials, gossip and the issues and events they contend with and much more. PARENTAL GUIDANCE is advised here due to the high probability that gutter-mouthed hobos will often say vulgar/profane stuff...

Then I got to thinking how many hobos have blogs. So I google hobo blogs. On the first page there are a few for travel writers and rv travelers but I'm looking for a real hobo blog. Then I find one who's last post was about 2008.

The Popular Hobo has about 5 posts. His name is Scott.  Turns out he was living in the dumpster cage behind CVS because they keep there dumpster closer to the door and not in the cage. His "cagemate"? got them kicked out because he played his radio too loud and the mall cleaners called management for a security security guard to kick him out. So he snuck back and lived there in his "gated community" for a few more weeks. He has a Mac laptop that he keeps in his suitcase and jacks free wifi.

Since his picture was on his blog and he describe his suitcase and shopping cart, I know  which hobo is the Popular One. I saw him putting up another big sign just off the 15 freeway on an electrical  box today. He is really promoting his blog.

Who knew?????

It is what it is...
Namaste
