The Everyday Project Day 291

Guess what you can buy on the internet!
Ready for the latest in Ickiness and deception???
Women have been selling positive pregnancy tests on Craig's List!   For $25-$40!

Why would they do that you ask?
A health teacher wanted one to use in a video she was making on teen pregnancy.
Play a trick on old mom and dad?
Try to catch a cheating spouse?
To get money for an abortion and keep it for yourself?

And the big one?
To get your man to "pop the question"!

Just the thought of purchasing someone's urine on a stick is nasty enough but its the deception factor that really bothers me.

First of all, we don't live in the age where a man has to marry a woman because she is pregnant. It would be nice if they got married before she got pregnant but still.

And what happens 9 months later when there is no baby or 3 months later when you are not showing? "Psych! I was just kidding?"

And who wants to marry someone who would tell a lie of this caliber. I'm not saying a little fudging of the truth like, "you don't look fat in that dress", but "Honey, we have to get married because here is my positive test." What man wants that woman???

And if you have to trick someone into marrying you, he obviously doesn't want to marry you. Move on.CRAAAZZZY!

It is what it is...
Namaste
