Cool Mom Award goes to.... Me, of course. I took Colin and his friend Jack to the shooting range today. I got a groupon deal so off we went. We had to read a safety manual and then take a test. After that they got their gun and bullets. The deal was 1 gun to share for 2 people for an hour. The chose a 9mm rifle. It turns out between the time it takes to load the bullets into the cartridge and then shoot, it was perfect to start out. They were a little nervous at first but after some brief instructions from the staff, they were completely comfortable and completely badass.
Even though we wore earplugs, I still have ringing in my right ear and can't really hear out of it.
Cara's team won again tonight in another nail biter. They play again on Monday at our home fields. 4 more games to win to get to the championship game. Scripps and Rancho Penasquitos are huge leagues and they have 2 teams each. Traditionally its them in all of the championship games. We'll see this year...
