The Everyday Project Day 111

Today was the 1st day of the Little  Stars Tournament for our 7/8 year olds. It's machine pitch and the kids 1st tournament. Traditionally MMWLL teams have not done well. Today was no different. They got mercy ruled in the 4th inning. What was different this is that they went in with a different mindset. Usually we play by our league rules that are very instructional. Every player gets to try different positions, etc. This year the manager was free to play how he saw fit within the tournament rules. The team had a hard time with the dirt infield. They seemed like they were always a beat or a step behind. They played well but the other team played better. They made more plays but our team hit the ball and knew what to do. I think they were finding their groove finally in the 6th inning. I think they did a great job for the first day against one of the biggest leagues in our district. On to tomorrow.

Colin has 1st TOC game and Cara, the first All Star game. Lets go Mira Mesa.
