The Everyday Project Day 66

My chi is very good today. I got the computer back and it seems to work. Still needs a new DVD drive but that will come this week. I downloaded a trial copy of Office so Scott could work on his LL spreadsheet. I can install full copy when DVD drive is fixed. All of the pictures, documents and music are backed up on the external hard drive and the computer  going quite fast. Scott tried to blame it on kids games but it was mostly me backing up and then not deleting. Kind of like clogging the toilet. Haha.

I took Phyllis to Pechanga, an Indian casino about 45 minutes away. It's about half way between here and her cousin Russ's house in Orange. Its one of our usual meeting spots. Scott has been doing good in football so he gave me $40. I'm not a gambler and normally I would pocket most of the money but I was determined to play the penny slots with Phyllis. She know all the games.

I don't really find them fun and I am so unlucky that I can't even get a free drink in Atlantic City.  No free drinks out here. My preference would be to sit on a lounge chair with and adult beverage and a magazine. No drinking today since I have to drive home and who knows what awaits there. (More on that tomorrow) So on to the games. Since I am too nervous to play anything  like poker or roulette, it's penny slots for me.

The penny slots have all sorts of theme games. Tv shows, bugs, Egypt, jungle, under the sea, etc. Then there is the added bonus of a mini game or free spins. Do I ever get the mini game or free spins??? Nooooo. Everyone else seems to get them but not me. ( sounding a little bitter here since I can't even get  a free drink) Phyllis knows how they all work so she helps me out.  But like I said, I was on a vision quest. I even put  in a $20 bill. Unheard of. I usually start with a $5.

Phyllis was all about the Tarzan so she points me in the direction of some bug game. If I got down to $15 with nothing, I was out. Movin on. 3 spins in and I got the mini game!!!! I had to touch the bugs to see what I would get. I won $7.50! So I played that game for a while. I cashed out with $25 so now I am up $5.

Last time we were at Pechanga, I played GhostBusters, Fishing and a Western Game which are huge multiplayer games.  Very high tech. 3D graphics. Totally cool for my uninterested self. Today, GhostBusters were taken but there was Sex in the City.

Sex in the City has giant, vibrating chairs. I lost $20. Game over.

Russ and MaryLou are bringing Phyllis home. I could only stay for so long with no adult beverages or magazines and smoking. Enjoy a glass of wine while writing this. I guess I'll be waiting up for my mother in law.

It is what it is...
Namaste
