The Everyday Project Day 319

I pick up 3-6 kids for the carpool after school. If you need a ride and show up at the pick up spot, you can get in. One time we had 7 and Andrew had to ride in the trunk. Yikes! That was unplanned and his normal ride canceled. Whoever sits in the front (usually Colin) plays around with the radio and other stuff up there. This includes checking the glove box for snacks (always something in there) and turning the bass up to 10 while listening to Show Tunes on 72, '40's on 4 or the Joint ( reggae) on 42. How much more annoying can you get????

The other day Cara, the smart kid, sat shot gun.

Cara: What's this?
Me: A lighter.
Cara: For what?
Me: Cigarettes. Duh
Cara: Why do they have a cigarette lighter in a car?
Me: To light cigarettes.
Cara: Why would they do that?
Me: Well, apparently enough people want to smoke while they drive that they put cigarette lighters in cars.
Cara: What's this?
Me: an ashtray
Cara: What's that for?
Me: Are you serious??? You don't know what an ashtray is????
Cara: Nope

I guess its a good thing that she doesn't know that?
October 3 is National Techie Day

It is what it is...
