The Everyday Project Day 236

Field Trip day! Cara and 2 friends went to a new place in town. Sky High Trampoline Gym. Look how awesome. I also got a dodgeball party for Colin's team when they finish the baseball tournaments.

Update on Sean. Things are progressing well for him.

It is what it is...
Namaste

Yesterday was a great day and thanks to all your prayers and words of encouragement today was even better.  Today Sean walked with a walker about 20 feet.  YEAH!!!!!  PT hopes that by next week he'll be able to do steps, which is even better.  They are also going to work with him on getting in and out of the bathroom and showering using a bench seat.  They feel that although he is able to use a walker that he still needs the wheelchair because his strength won't last very long.
We are looking into getting a physical therapist to come to the house or to meet at a pool to work with him so that he continues to progress.  Even the doctors feel that it is important.  The house inspections went well and we don't have to modify much.  So the plan is to discharge him next Friday morning.
Jesi has contacted Sean's math teacher and he is going to come by the house and work with Sean so that when school starts in August he is ready.  She will also be going to the school to meet with the principle about Sean's special needs.  There still is a good possibility that he will start school in a wheelchair.
When Sean left the ICU and IMU I made the staff a bunch of cookies and Sean delivered them.  So I'll gladly be making some cookies next week.
God has been so gracious with His love and we are so humbled by it.  As happy as we are for Sean's recovery we often stop to remember that there are those less fortunate, and say a prayer for them.  I truly believe in the power of prayer and that without yours Sean might not be progressing as well as he is.  So as a family we thank you.
God Bless
