The best "go to's" are not fancy, use regular ingredients and are what everyone loves but don't ever make. You know, high in calories, high in taste , delish and get rave reviews. No leftovers and everyone wants more.
Cheesy Potatoes
And ready when your husband , aka Scott, says can you make cheesy potatoes for my potluck tomorrow?
Its so easy, anyone can do it.
2 cans cream of...soup. Use whatever kind you like such as cream of mushroom, potato, cheese, garlic, etc. You can mix and match.
1/2 container of sour cream (so 8 oz total)
1 chopped onion sauteed in some butter, salt and pepper
2 BIG handfuls of shredded cheese ( cheddar, 3 cheese mix, mexican blend etc whatever you like)
1 package of frozen hash brown potatoes -the shredded kind not the cubes.
*secret ingredient* Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning ( few shakes or as much as you like)
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Grease a 9x13 pan or use cooking spray
3. Mix the soup, sour cream, sauteed onion and cheese and the Tony Chachere's in a big bowl
4. Add the frozen hash browns
5. Spread in the pan. Cover with foil.
6. Bake about 40 minutes
7. Take foil off and broil until the top is brown and crisp.
8. Bring to your office potluck and amaze your coworkers.
Cook it up, eat it up and impress your coworkers, friends, family and peeps in general.
It is what it is...
Namaste
